Quote from: Guardrail on Jul 25, 2023, 09:31 AMYeah. 80?? Uh no. I work to pay bills and be comfortable. I dont have a large house, so I'll continue with my +/-$70ish electric bill and keep mine on 70.
I don't understand the rationale because if you're turning the ac off when you leave the house or up to 80 when you come home it's gonna have to work that much harder to cool down

Don't want a splinter killing me or my family. So, if you invite me to one of your bunkers, I will have the shit that will save you from any infections.

*Wrong thread...
A word of caution: expired antibiotics lose potency over time and can increase bacteria resistance if used against an infection. Liquid antibiotics can become contaminated with bacteria as they age.

DO NOT KEEP TETRACYCLINE PAST THE EXPIRATION DATE; expired tetracycline has been linked to Fanconi syndrome (kidney damage).

It's a great broad spectrum antibiotic. You've probably taken it for the clap and didn't realize it.

I took it as a kid for acne. I figured that's what most people took it for

I reluctantly sold a old man a new AC system because he's getting $600 light bills all the sudden, he runs two systems with the 3rd one in a shop that rarely gets run. Anyway since Entergy put in a new meter his bill allegedly went from $150 per month to now it's $600. I've heard this story many times before and it's Entergy fucking people. I advised him that Entergy is probably billing two-months at a time.

I said the new unit won't amazingly make your bill go down....advised him he needs to address his duct work under his house because it's cold/wet under his house = leaky ducts. The duct work is easily 40 years old if not older. Anyway we install the new unit next week w/o new duct...it won't do any different than the last one and I point blank told the guy that. The current unit is from 2014 so it's not terribly old. It came down to if I didn't sell the unit he was going to buy from somebody. There comes a point where I can only do so much without having the home owner address other issues that could help such as solar, insulation, moving to a smaller house...

We bought a house in 05 that the owner had the easy to see ductwork wrapped to show like new. The lazy ads inspector didn't see that the ductwork was basically shredded.  My first electric bill was over $1000.  Had to replace all the ductwork, double insulate the attic and garage, radiant barrier, big turbine vents on the roof, insulate the garage door, etc.  got it down to $200.

Just push mowed my lawn...hadn't really gave the push mower much run this summer so I figured why not the hottest fuckin day in the history of the earth. Well not really. But I did mow with my gasoline powered self-propelled follow behind Honda mower. I feel dirty but it's not from climate change.

I think now with the grace of god I'll be tucked into my easy chair and watch shitty woke shit on Netflix the rest of the afternoon.

Obv Honda is a better brand but we bought one of those SunJoe pressure washers. Only thing that sucks is dragging the cord around. Otherwise very good for light use.
