Quote from: wmr on May 26, 2024, 02:45 PMThe worst damage in Rogers is right along Walnut at the 24th St intersection.  Buildings are just destroyed.

Trees were down all over Rogers, everywhere I went.  Downtown seemed mostly ok but some roofs were visibly damaged and a lot of trees down everywhere.

My office is only a few hundred yards north of that intersection

Less than .5 miles

Somehow we didn't get the worst of it

Very sad we lost the Suzy Q

Old time diner opened in the 40s

The area around 13th and oak is bad.  The new baseball park we opened in April is trash
Ripped up the astroturf

So sad.  The house my in-laws built in 1968 is very damaged

I am chair of the parks department
We are so proud of this park and the work that went in to it

The city will go back to work to repair it

I got the pics early this morning

It is hard to comprehend along with everything else I saw today

we'll played.

Had a tornado warning last night at around one. When I looked at the radar. The rotation went barely south of me and would have went through downtown if it had touched down. We seem to be becoming more active down here. I blame clear cutting.

Got 9th Street cleared of two giant white oaks, enough to get a car through, got a lot of debris out of the in laws house and yard.

Guy across the street from them had two trucks under the trees, got that all cleared off.

Two half days of chain sawing and moving heavy ass wood and I am fucking exhausted.
Fuck your feelings

My parents lived at 714 N 4th in Rogers in a 100+ year old house they restored.  From the thread it sounds like that area near the Suzy Q got hammered.  Anyone in the area please let me know how it looks.  No rush; I know you're digging out.

Huge storm over DFW.  Baseball size hail coming.

we usually get what Dallas gets, but it looks like this storm is sinking to the south as it moves east.

DFW is a fucking mess this morning. More trees down than I have seen in 20 years here. Drove around 3 trampolines, downed power lines and 1000 trees to get to work only to find we have no power.

Mr. Earl told me that 40yrs ago. That man knew some stuff I'm telling you.
BTW I drove by Blue Ember last Friday at 5:45, 5 cars there total. They were probably workers.
Never gonna make it.

Closest I could get was 3 blocks. 4th north of SuzyQ was blocked.

That shirt is so clean it almost looks photoshopped.
I'm always amazed at now small the root structures are on these huge fallen trees.
