My son has been sending me pictures of the flood at Sylamore Creek.  He and his family camp there several times a summer.  Apparently Anglers Resort is pretty much gone.

And it's built on stilts, too isn't it? Or maybe I'm thinking of a place up toward Norfork

I am not that familiar with that one, so I can't tell you.  In looking at the picture he sent, he may just be talking about the trout dock.

OK, I was thinking of the Norfork River resort and Trout Dock. A little farther upriver.

I've rented boats from Anglers a few times. It's a nice place and a really decent restaurant for Stone County.

Anybody got word on how Jacks is down the river from anglers? I hate to see it gone...we've been going there since I was a kid and my dad used to guide there in college. Have also stayed many a time at anglers. Sorta sad.
Yep. I'm not trying to be a dick about it. It could have lived. It didn't. Not by my choice. -Elvis

I spent most of the afternoon on the pool and got out around 4:30, and I think got a chill...

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Global warming causes global cooling and droughts cause flooding.

Duh.

I'm in northern Washington and can't breathe the smoke is so bad. I guess it's better than last week when it was 107 and Smokey here.

PorkyPig

Got about 10 drops of rain today, just enough to piss me off.

Lurk

Derecho moved through earlier, blew down a portion of the pool fence, and a big oak in the front yard. Road across the highway is blocked. I bet there's worse damage in places down here. The radar showed the worst of of it going east of me.

It thundered here.  That is all.  Not one drop of rain.
