We got about an inch or so last night about 9-9:30. Rained like hell

Today should be a Saturday, weather is perfect.

Getting a break in DFW today - only going to get to 98. We are GTFOing to Montana Saturday where they have highs of mid 70's.

Truck read 107 yesterday in Houston.  No rain in sight.  Heading to Golden next weekend for some relief.  September can't get here fast enough!

Yep. I'm not trying to be a dick about it. It could have lived. It didn't. Not by my choice. -Elvis

I read where the scientists can't figure out the inexplicable cooling of the Atlantic now...pretty sure we've been told it's global warming.🤷🏿♂️

Almost like it's normal pre fall weather.

It has been a perfect Sunday down here in Houston.

Looks like it's gonna be wet later this week.

Latest track has it moving a little east, making landfall over Vermillion Bay south of Lafayette. Furtunately that puts us on the west side of it.  Took 4 years, but they just imploded the most recognizable building here on Saturday.  Its was rendered structurally unsound after Laura.

While I certainly don't want anybody to get hit too hard by this storm, we sure could use a few inches of rain.

I thought of you whenever this started up. Glad to hear it's going east of you. The track shows it going east of Arkansas too, except for maybe Chicot county. Poor Mississippi going to get more tornadoes out of this.

definite shift to the east in the projected path;  seems like they have gotten much better at predicting these thing, but there is always a chance it wobbles back this way.

Took a trip over to Heber this morning.  The weather on the Little Red was so perfect that I didn't even care that my dumb ass forgot the rod.  Just went to Ozark Angler and bought another one.

Had cow shoals to myself almost all morning.

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Certainly not much water moving. It's dry as hell. They've caught some nice browns lately. Hope you had some success.

There's a small channel on the far side of cow shoals that I can always find something in.  I discovered that when water was even lower than it is now.  At swinging bridge at low water I get around the pool and wade upstream a bit for some good browns, but didn't try it today.

Fun thing about trout fishing... it's just as relaxing if you don't catch a thing.

Cancelled schools down here for Tuesday and Wednesday.  My oldest just started his senior year at LSU, looks like BR may get it worse than us if this track holds.  They just issued a mandatory evacuation for Cameron parish, its 80% below sea level, and may only have 5-6000 residents at this point, but has billions of dollars in LNG facilities.  Venture Global sits right off the Gulf.
