And I'm seeing that Oprah "owns the road" that can be used as an escape route, But she won't open it to let people pass to get to higher ground.

Me and the wife and kids are back stateside now, thanks. We do have family spread from Kauai to the Big Island, and so far everyone has checked in. Sounds like the worst of it has passed.

it's always cooler in golden compared to Denver proper. Closer to foothills. Have y'all tried tubing clear creek when you're out there or renting e-bikes to go down the clear creek trail? Also make sure you hit up new terrain brewing when there they usually do live music on Thursdays and have great beer selection at reasonable prices

Corrie has mentioned wanting to float the river. Not sure if we will have time on this trip. We may go see Chris Stapelton in Denver on the 22nd.

fuck that. I've done that once end of July and won't ever do it again. There is no amount of money I would take to do that part of the river in mid May or June when it's roaring. You can seriously get hurt if you get thrown as it's so narrow. Had a lot of friends beat up after a rafting that.

No I'm talking about golden...you can rent tubes in town and float down clear creek in town. It's nice on a hot day but I'd go during the week not the weekends. After hit up golden mill and watch off the roof deck tubers

OK, that makes sense. We rafted Clear Creek in Idaho Falls and that is a pic of us. It was pretty tough.
