We got some snow but then ice on top of it.  There are a couple or three inches of white stuff.  But I took the dogs out and it is so solid that I didn't even make tracks in it.

23 degrees and steady freezing rain here in Pinehurst/Southern Pines. The 60 batrillion pine trees around here are not happy.

Seems we got at least a couple inches of powder on top of the sleet from the day before. Definitely was woken up with some more sleet though. Fuck this weather.

The roads in saline county are straight ice with snow sprinkled on top. At least on the north side of I30.
I thought I was going to get out and see what's going on - that's a big no-go. I got about 1/4 mile from the house and turned back. Creeped/idled back home and parked it.

Oh, and I was off by a day. She called at 05:58 this morning.

I fully expect my mother to get up and start stumbling around and fall before daylight. Then call me wanting me to go to her house, with an inch of ice on the ground, and pick her up off the floor.
She really likes to fall during extreme weather, family events/holidays, or when I'm 700 miles away for work or vacation.
So as the weather gets worse, the chances my mother falls down goes up.

In Arlington, we got a layer of freezing rain, then 1-2 inches of sleet, and now snow.  A mess to drive on.

Holy shit, the wind and rain just arrived in Foley at straight up noon, wind died down, according to Google weather the rain stops at 8 tonight and we don't hit freezing until 3 AM, so far so good.

Probably 10" in my yard.  Less on the neighborhood streets but the sleet last night packed it in.  Tire tracks aren't reaching the asphalt and they're freezing solid worse than everything else.  Dipshits trying to drive are just making the roads worse.  Overall city roads in Jonesboro aren't bad at all; they do a good job of treating before and clearing after.  They'll have plows in my neighborhood today or tomorrow.

2-door Rubicon on 35's is staying in the garage today.  I have everything I need at the house.  Last year it pulled a few strangers out of ditches.  I hope they learned their lesson.

I think we got 4-5 inches overnight on the Benton/Washinton County line, about 6-8 total.

Brought the apartment kids home last night around 11 from Fayetteville, very little to no traffic, roads were not bad then.

A 2017 2 door Rubicon Recon Edition was the last Jeep I owned. It was my favorite. Still prefer the 2 door over the 4 door.
