I fully expect my mother to get up and start stumbling around and fall before daylight. Then call me wanting me to go to her house, with an inch of ice on the ground, and pick her up off the floor.
She really likes to fall during extreme weather, family events/holidays, or when I'm 700 miles away for work or vacation.
So as the weather gets worse, the chances my mother falls down goes up.

I have a few geriatrics that I have to check on. I had ro emphatically tell them to not go outside for any reason. I've had 2 geriatrics that have gone to get their mail, slipped on the ice and fell, break a hip, have surgery, get pneumonia and die. There;s nothing in the mailbox worth death.

How safe is it to run one of these Buddy Heaters in my garage?  I've got a fridge, freezer, and my water heater is out there.  I was thinking of firing it up tomorrow night when it's supposed to fall below zero.  I know they're supposed to be indoor safe but feel uncomfortable with that thing going all night while we're asleep.

I ran it last night for a few hours and it definitely makes a difference.

My parents in De Queen lost power at 3am, it came back around 12:15

I got the generator out of my camper and ready to find out it's a bitch to start. Can run a cord up to my furnace in fairly short order. 

Also have my propane heater set up expecting the end of the world I already have the pilot lit.

My unscientific snow measure is 4 inches in Ward.
