I was going to come up with something clever, maybe some Godfather references, but it's March and (as Hognrock pointed out) there is really only one key to the game: end the game with more points than them.

No more of this "we had a rough season with injuries and everyone should be impressed we even made the tourney" bullshit, let's just go kick St. John's ass because we're better than them.

(And please don't spot them 10 points at the start or go 8 minutes without scoring)

I had no idea that Calipari and Pitino didn't like each other until I watched some kind of summary video about that last night.

I thought they would both be, like, basketball made men and fast friends.

Not a perfect quote for the situation, but the intent may be applicable.

My whole day is going to revolve around this.  My eldest went to St Johns.

He will be Arkansas all the way today though.  I think we have a good chance at this.

i texted him during the St John's game and asked him if he was enjoying it and he replied that the Hog game had stressed him too much to watch.

I had never heard this either until this week. What's the backstory? Sounds like they despise each other personally, not just professionally.
The Lord wants you to put your foot on their balls and believe in it. 'Cuz that's what wins football games. Not jumping offsides like a bunch of wimps and faggots. I don't care what those pinkos over in Russia say. You want to be a loser? You go live in Russia. I'm a winner. I'm an American.

Ruled out. Not surprised. Thought it was odd he would be available Saturday and not Thursday. I think if we win, he'll be available next week.

I'm gonna guess he may just dress out and will come in for very limited minutes if needed due to foul trouble from other bigs. Edit: Nevermind then

cal's family is from calibria, the southern tip of the boot, right across from sicily. he's mentioned it a few times.

I'll need to see their family meatball recipes before I can crown a true Guido.  I'm not Italian but I watched Jersey Shore so I know a thing or 2.
Things of that nature

When asked by media what he thought about Petino, Coach Calipari replied, "Say what you will about the guy, but he sure knows how to tip a waitress."

Spike Lee is courtside in a St. John's jacket.

Now we have to win.
