For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Saw mock draft that had Acuff at like 21 and Ament at 22. It also said could see him going 10 spots higher. I predict he will fall in top 10 and that most mocks will have him there by seasons end.

Doc Hogaday

It's a strong freshman class this year. All those guys in that pic are really good too. I think Acuff right now would go somewhere between 10-14th pick.

ESPN put out a list yesterday ranking the top 50 players at midseason. Acuff was at #11. Five of six in that picture were ranked ahead of him. The only one not ahead of him was Koa Peat who was #33. It also had Labaron Philon (sophomore) at #8. Acuff has performed better than him imo.

listen to the guys that have actually played the nba game and not the wannabe gm with their mock draft.

they love the kid.

i can see acuff going in the top 5 to a team that trades up to get him.  he's the best pg in college and it isn't close.

Would Boozer be as good if they didn't let him play football on a basketball court?

Or if the refs could count to three...as in steps, seconds in the lane, etc.

I don't know. I think Flemings is right there with him and keeps getting better.

I agree. A lot of podcasters are also coming around to the fact that he's moved into the top 5 in the draft. ESPN can suck a fat one.

Agree.  Acuff is absolutely fantastic but he definitely has competition as to who is the "best".

My hope is the Grizz trade Morant and get Acuff which with my luck will never happen.

There are some really talented point guards out there this year.  Acuff, Flemings, Brown, Anderson (TTech) are the ones that have stood out the most to me.

I'd add Philon, Tanner, Smith (Purdue) and Lipsey (ISU) to that list as well. Arguably the best crop of PGs of all time.

It's just so rare for us to experience generational talent.

Arkansas has never been built on generational talent.  Ever.  That's Duke.  North Carolina.  Kentucky (yuck).  We don't get Grant Hill, Alonzo Mourning, Allen Iverson, Penny Hardaway, Michael Jordan, etc.  Never have.

We have local fighters from Arkansas.  Generational was DMac.  Generational was Corliss.  Generational was Sidney.

They were all from Arkansas, and only Sidney had any exceptional professional career.

There are no Detroit kids that come to Arkansas ever.  Especially ones like Acuff.  That's a kid that we've never seen before.  Kareem Reid was close.  We never get the 5 stars out of state that are legit.

We have 2 this year in Thomas and Acuff. From Pennsylvania and Michigan.  This is fun.

What Nolan Richardson did here was incredible.

That team was made up of misfits.  Oh sure, they had some decent prospects, but Alex Dillard was a under the radar find, no blue bloods were recruiting him.  Roger Crawford?  Didn't even have stars.  Scotty Thurman?  His only other offer was Louisiana Tech.  LSU never offered and he made them pay. Dwight Stewart and Corey Beck?  Not NBA athletic enough to get major offers.  McDaniel?  Same thing.

Corliss was our only major recruit, and even he was too small.  6'6 and a post player?  Pretty much he was our center.

What Nolan did with those kids was amazing.  And I don't believe he gets enough credit for taking "Burger King" players that no blue blood would recruit and kicking their ass.

For God's sake, BUILD THE STATUE.

I know what you're saying and not trying to argue, but Darnell Robinson was on that team and one of the top 5 players coming out of high school that year. Of course, he underachieved his entire college and professional careers.

This guy is a pretty good watch. He makes a point that if Calapari had Acuff at Kentucky instead of Arkansas right now, he'd be a national POY candidate.

Seems when we have a great talent, other teams do, too. Acuff is a great talent. Also, I didn't want to start a new thread, but, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SS!
Well, shit...

I hope Acuff goes to a better city and organization than the Memphis.
