acuff is 11 points away from breaking thurman's record for most total points scored in a season by a hog freshman.

with six games plus the postseason to go, his record may stand as long as scotty's.

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Same number of losses as Texas tech, way behind them in the poll.

If only we had played them we'd know if we were better.

I saw a mock tournament bracket today, they had us as a 5 or 6 seed; they had Vandy as a 4. I wish we would play them to maybe improve our seeding a bit.
I need help and I know it.

I say it every year, and someone argues with me ever year, that Joe Lunardi can fuck hisself

KenPom has the SEC with the highest overall power rating. We're only 1 game off the lead in the loss column. If we can somehow manage to win the SEC, I don't see how they can deny us at least a 3 seed.
I really don't care, Margaret.

I remember two of those distinctly:

Championship game 1994

Kentucky game on Super Bowl Sunday 1995

How can we find out the other 5?

(I vaguely recall one at Missouri?)

We are terrible at honoring the past - Sidney, Ron, and Marvin deserve a banner at the very least. Plus the lack of the Nolan statue...

Assumed it's still coming at some point.  Needs some upgrades. DO NOT need to reduce the seats as had been planned.

They'll be a room full of middle aged white guys with sudden acute downs syndrome coming to BWA next fall.

Watch this and then tell me Acuff is better.  Maybe a better true point guard, but not better overall

I don't want to push opinion either way, but Sidney was 3+ years older than Acuff at that point...
Since he will not play four years here, we will never know.

I am not about to rate players against each other on the court here.  Diff skills and different times.  BUT, I do believe Sid may be the most important player to play for the Hogs.

At Arizona as a freshman?

True, and very good point, Rev. Actually if you are talking about just freshmen guards, no doubt Acuff is better.  I was there in Sidney's freshman year, and I believe I saw every home game (except probably those over the Christmas break).  Sidney led the nation in field goal percentage that year.   But he almost never took a shot from more than 6 feet from the basket.  He had an uncanny ability to get the ball in amongst the much bigger trees under the basket.  He really didn't have a jump shot.

Nor did he his sophomore year.  But when he was in a junior, all that practice played off.  All of a sudden he was on fire between 10-15 feet.  It was really amazing to see the progression.

So I will surely go with Acuff as the best freshman point guard I've seen in a Hog uniform.

He dropped 34 in that game but I thought we won by a decent margin.

Didn't he make one at LSU?
The Lord wants you to put your foot on their balls and believe in it. 'Cuz that's what wins football games. Not jumping offsides like a bunch of wimps and faggots. I don't care what those pinkos over in Russia say. You want to be a loser? You go live in Russia. I'm a winner. I'm an American.
