Quote from: Feral on Apr 13, 2025, 01:27 PMWas going to post the same. Both Wehiwa and Kuhio's ABs have been pitched very similarly.
The bad thing is, if they don't reach across the plate and try to hit it, it is still called a strike.
Well, shit...

BleedinRed

There is a 100% bat approach issue that has been exposed and not corrected by the staff.

We are in the third game and have yet to adjust to the bullshit outside ball off the plate strike.

How we haven't adjusted is mind blowing.

True. Home plate umps have been giving Georgia the low outside corner pretty consistently all series.

Quote from: Son of Spam on Apr 13, 2025, 01:15 PMEh, it's one series. If you are number 1 the only way to go is down. We will see where we stand against eATMe next week. As far as I am concerned, we can have a dip right now. Then, maybe we will be ready for the regionals.

Yeah, looks like we have some chicken littling in this thread.

Before today we'd outscored them 19-10.  Each game we've hit their bullpen pretty well.  Losing wouldn't be an indictment of this team, but there's way too much baseball left for the complaining.

I'll be shocked if Wes lets this pitcher see the rest of the lineup again.  Davalan and Maxwell smoked the ball against him.

Bottom 5th.

Hudson strikes out looking.  1 out.

Alford walks.  Runner on 1st, 1 out.

McCarthy lines out to Fraser, who throws back to first to double off Alford.  Pitcher's best friend!  3 outs.

End 5th.  Scored enough 4 Needs to score more 2

Their catcher setting up behind the other batter box isn't helping.
The Lord wants you to put your foot on their balls and believe in it. 'Cuz that's what wins football games. Not jumping offsides like a bunch of wimps and faggots. I don't care what those pinkos over in Russia say. You want to be a loser? You go live in Russia. I'm a winner. I'm an American.

Now it's up to their bullpen, let's see what out hitters can do

LOL.

Son of Spam

Their pitcher apparently got dressed in the dark and put on two different colored shoes.

First pitching swinging bunt against a guy with a 10+ ERA.

What even is this plate approach?

Bottom 6th.

PITCHING CHANGE:  Carson Wiggins in for Beetlejuice.

Burnett strikes out swinging at 101.  1 out.

Zdmnsmidtwat strikes out looking at a high curve/slider/changeup/something under 100.  2 outs.

STEAK DINNER ALERT!

Phelps strikes out swinging, and THAT'S A STEAK DINNER WINNER!  3 outs.

@Son of Spam pick your winner as it's your turn to receive the dinner.

End 6th.  4-2 them.

Top 7th.

Helfrick strikes out swinging. 1 out.

Carson Boles, pinch hitting for Diggs, walks.  Runner on 1st, 1 out.

Davalan walks.  Runners 1st and 2nd, 1 out.

PITCHING CHANGE:  Zach Harris (RHP) in for Davis.

This pitching change brought to you by the scientific fact that no SEC program should play home games on plastic grass with painted "dirt" on the infield.  You are in the wealthiest fucking conference in America, in a climate ideal for growing grass in the spring.  Fix your shit Georgia, Vandy, and Tennessee.

Aloy 1.0 grounds to SS...throw gets past the first baseman.  Boles scores, Davalan to 3rd, Aloy to 2nd.  Scored a single and E3.  4-3 Georgia.  Runners 2nd and 3rd, 1 out.

Maxwell strikes out swinging.  Ugly at bat in a clutch spot.  Runners 2nd and 3rd, 2 out.

Aloy 2.0 pops out to 1st.  3 outs.

Mid 7th.  Still ahead 4, getting closer but wasting chances 3.

Perish peacefully in a warm environment.

Cornhogio

Helfrick was still pissed about strike two when he swung at strike three.
