They really are cooked.  I didn't give two shits about them this weekend and they still lost the series.  I'm trying all my bullshit and it still isn't helping.  They done.

You say that, but when you look at the other teams in the poll and who's ahead of us we should probably be higher.  Few of the teams ranked ahead of us have our resume.  I definitely don't think we should be below Auburn who is 10th, for instance.  I also doubt that all those ACC teams should be above us. 

I'm fine with being there right now.  Maybe it will help light a fire under their asses.

My guess is that worst case we go 3-6.  That puts us at 17-13...almost certainly out of hosting, but not out of the top 25. 

We need to win four games to keep hosting in my estimation, and at least five to have a shot at a top eight.

I've disagreed with many things DVH has done the last few years, but his teams are usually at their best when they are backed in a corner.  I'd expect Texas to get our best shot.  Even though they are #1, I think this is our best shot of the remaining series to get a series win.
