I'm down on Hobbs right now.  People act like he's some fucking pitching whisperer.  We hear about all the pitching depth, yet here we are giving up at least eight runs on a Sunday to a shit ass lineup.  Most of us could've gotten Hagen Smith drafted in the first round.  Our pitching this year has underachieved every bit as much as our hitting ever did under Thompson.  Hell, last year too.  He's built his rep on a Golden Spikes worthy year from two guys, in years where we didn't even make it to Omaha.

I don't see that from the hitters.  Just see some guys who are a little off.  I'll take their body of work for the year.  The pitchers, at least starters, have been bad all year.

I think you're right. Our approach at the plate seems very different than it was in February and March.

Iredale once again fouls off a hanging meat ball slider, then singles to CF.  Bases loaded, 1 out.  BEER HATS ENGAGED!

Just an awful series all the way around.  We probably need to win at least two series to host a regional, and all three to host a super.  Which honestly all that might be for the best.

I agree.  I shouldn't have stepped in on this one after Feral pulled us through yesterday. 

Honestly this was probably the last one I could do this year anyway, unless we end up playing postseason away from home.    Might be able to take one of the LSU games, but my record sucks this year anyway.

This team is not playing well in any facet of the game.

We've regressed to the same old Nate Thompson plate approach, the book is out in several of our hitters. The TV crew yesrerday remarked about how many first pitch strikes we watch. We get into a lot of disadvantage counts because of it. And Florida had the second worst team ERA in the conference.

This pitching staff assembled by DVH and Hobbs is not good. We have 3 very iffy starters, Gaeckle who couldn't cut it and had to be moved to the pen, and a l highly inconsistent bullpen that seems to be just a select few guys who DVH trusts. McEntire is still the same old batting practice machine who's basically a midweek guy.

Our defense...we have a catcher who can't block and thus allows a lot of baserunners to move into scoring position, and we have a CF who is good for a critical error once a game. 

This team is going to limp into the postseason like the 2022 team did. Who knows if they can dig deep and piece together a run like that squad did, or if they fold like a bad poker hand.

I nope'd out of watching around the 6th inning and decided to mow the yard and listen to back end of the game on the radio, and even Phil was uncharacteristically shitting on the team. He basically said in so many words that we haven't played as well as our record, and right now we're nowhere near the level of the likes of Texas, LSU and Tennessee.

I'm not done yet, but I'm also not optimistic.
