I've been down on our chances to host, but the Auburn victory all but sealed it if the Texas win hadn't already done so.

The problem is the matchup we'll get. I'd almost rather be a high 2 seed in Lawrence or Lincoln than be a low 1 seed.

It is pretty clear that one team played a shitload more quality (Q1) teams and had a winning record against those Q1 teams while the other didn't play many of them and had a bad losing record against Q1 teams, had a worse conference record and worse tourney, but sure cleaned up on shitty Q3/Q4 teams I guess.

Not terrible draw for us if we have to go on the road, though I am hoping to go somewhere closer like Lincoln or Lawrence.

That Atlanta regional would be a bloodbath and a horrible draw for Ga Tech. USC, TCU, and a plucky Little Rock team.
