Give Nolan a Statue

The only possible hold up at this point would be some octogenarian mega donor who's told them he's writing the program out of his will if they ever build a statue for "that n****r." 

I remember hearing gossip from the big country clubs up that way that there were big money NWA people who wanted Nolan fired in 1991-92, right in the middle of the best run in program history.  Some of those guys are undoubtedly still alive and probably still carrying whatever grudge they had back then.

Word was that, when they had the vote to put Nolan's name on the court, there were people in the room who would only vote yes if we also did something equal for Eddie.  What's the difference between Nolan and Eddie, other than the fact that Nolan actually won a Division 1 championship here?

The fact it has not happened and that there has been no discussion of such a statue speaks volumes. But they name the engineering building for John White....

There was a lot of butthurt when he was hired and more after he was fired and sued.

Seriously, with 3d Printing, shouldn't shit like this be almost easy?

3D print a model of hyper-realistic statue of Nolan with sacrificial material, can be done even in segments, encase in ceramic, then inject Bronze...  I mean, it SHOULD take much of the "art" out of it and make super realistic statues kinda easy?

Can do it from a photograph even and come up with an almost perfect 3D print.  Literally, some art students could do it and it would could be perfect for almost nothing.  Just keep doing it until the print is perfect and then encase and do the bronze.  Once you get the print right, after that it should be pretty easy for anyone with even marginal skill. 

10' should be big enough or do we want 20'?

My dad turned 83 yesterday. He was his normal self until a year and a half ago. Something happened between summer at the lake and Christmas. He went from moving around about as well as an 81 year old can to barely moving faster than a snails pace. His demeanor changed, he developed dementia. I swear his body tried to die and he wouldn't let it so he could be with Mom.

It really goes back to 1969. Being screwed out the national championship in 1978 by Notre Dame AP voters.
I think us cussing Hatfield when he lost(in especially Arkansas fashion) to Texas in LR may be part of it. Atwood Atwater not falling on the fumble dropping the interception against Miami in 1985. Several times during hooties run, we had a team that was good enough to compete and Nutt derped away our chances. Petrino had a few like not scooping and scoring against Ohio State and the referees screwing us against Auburn. Then killing the program by firing him. Bert was on the cusp of success with Alabama on the ropes and Kody Walker fumbles untouched out of the end zone, the ball surrounded by Razorback players.

Most of my Razorback memories are bad.
