Well the site you looked it up on was wrong. I remember way more about that game than I should. It was on CBS from the orange bowl and was played the Saturday after Thanksgiving in 1988. We were 10-0 and ranked #8 and they were ranked #3 after losing to Notre Dame by one point earlier in the year.

Seriously, that statue could be 3d Printed in 3 parts fairly easily, lower half, upper half and the head.  Keep printing the head until you get it fucking perfect.  Get the fucking essence of Nolan just fucking right and keep doing it until you get it right.  The body should be easy enough.  then put them all together.  encase it in ceramic, harden and then bake/melt out all the printed material.  Now you have a perfect fucking shell for your perfect Nolan statue.

Seriously, some art majors could knock that shit out in a week.  Then it would be down to finding a foundry to do it.

We could crowdfund that shit in a week if we had permission to plant it in front of the entrance.

1. Kendall trainor hadn't misssed a field goal in 10 games and early in the game he kicked an almost 60 yarder that hit the crossbar and bounced over.

I was 9. Pretty sure that was the first football game I ever cried over.
