They spent a 1 on Micah. Great pass rusher but, terrible against the run; refuses to play in the scheme so it's 10 on d plus wherever the fuck he felt like lining up, and has no stamina for a 17 game season. So Dallas D has been shit against the run for all four years 11 was here, and he got a lot of sacks early. What would change had he stayed at $40-47 mil a year? Nothing but shittier other players.

As Jimmy taught you have to manufacture more picks. Same with Bellichik and Ravens.  So he has 4 1's in next two years, plus got a pro bowl run stopper. Dallas has the best rate of 1st round pro bowlers last 15 years, 10 out of 15.  So if Micah turns into 3 pro bowlers on rookie deals, huge win. And yes if smart one of those gets traded for more picks.

I fully admit bias against the previous coach, as that was as bad a hire for the Cowboys as Wade Phillips or Dave Campo.  But it seemed as if the entire team was much more locked in, and things were running more smoothly, than they ever did even in Fat Nutt's best years.  They lack dudes on defense, and I'm not sure Eberflus is going to work out, but the team seemed to give a shit for the first time in several years.
