Quote from: HTL on Aug 11, 2025, 09:46 AMMonte Harrison had TD catches of 70, 63, and 45 yards in the scrimmage. So that means he probably won't see the field.

Only on 4th and 6 with the game on the line against Texas... in which we throw it to a wide open freshman nobody's ever heard of and he drops it with his retarded skillet hands.

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

I wonder what he thinks about that.

What is all this chatter about Gruden wanting to coach in the SEC now and talking to Georgia and possibly arkansas.
Yep. I'm not trying to be a dick about it. It could have lived. It didn't. Not by my choice. -Elvis

Watch for the color of the tie on his next interview to find out where he is going. DM Power House for further info.

and Gruden would be a :

Good hire?  And why?

Bad hire?  And why?
Apparently retarded member of the "fucking old people" crowd as defined by Swahili Steve.

Good?  Instant attention on the program.  Would probably boost NIL contributions.  If engaged, high ceiling/high floor.

Bad?  May be more interested in celebrity status than actually working.  NFL success may not translate to college game. If his head isn't in it, could flame out spectacularly.

I'm torn on him.  He'd probably be an improvement over Pittman, but that's a low bar to clear.

He's got the racist baggage that would flare up the moment he came to place like Arkansas. Nothing would get said if it was Bama, Georgia, or LSU but you can bet like a Nobleman fucking the maid that shit just aint gonna fly if he's coming to Arkansas or other non mover and shaker.

X's and O's there's no doubt Gruden is "good" but also like Petrino you wonder if the best is way behind him. And it likely is.

jimbo wants another shot. as crazy as it sounds, i'd take him instead.

he knows the current college landscape and two sub .500 seasons in 14 years is probably better than we can hope for right now. would more than likely keep petrino also.

I'm not in love with it but agree it's better than Gruden.

I don't know that we'll have the financial package in place to bring in Jimbo who no doubt will take a hit on his next gig but I don't know that he's getting something like 7 mil to come to Arkansas. I figure there's probably a few places that would pay that for him though.

We could potentially have a Jimbo Fisher, BMFP, and maybe a Dave Aranda (DC) in a new staff next season and I wouldn't be mad at that.

But more likely it'll be rent-a-win coach with sun belt staff.

Good:
Could be Nick Saban coming back to the college game.

Bad:
Could be Herm Edwards coming back to the college game.
Oak Grove in the house.

jimbo doesn't need money, his aggie buyout was guaranteed. with pittman making $6.4 mil, 7 million, or close to it, is what it's going to take to get someone who has proven himself in some capacity. i bet it will certainly be the case for lashlee.

from his comments on some podcast last week, he really just wants to get back into it. probably never going to happen, just threw his name out there with the talk about gruden.

BleedinRed

Non of the coaches mentioned have proven shit in the NIL era.

vegashog

well, we ain't getting kirby, the guy at ohio st., or anyone else that's done anything in the playoffs so if that's the criteria, we're shit out of luck.

Jimbo wants another shot, Gruden wants to try his hand at the SEC, Bobby Petrino is walking our sidelines as an assistant coach... we better publicly name T-Will the head coach in waiting before someone scoops him up!

Yes that will be the case after one good game against a nobody. T-Will got that dawg in him.

I could legit see Petrino wanting to stay on as OC if it means working under somebody that's not retarded. He doesn't have to do nearly as much media and can just do his thing.
