Proven winner
Can build a culture
Has energy and can reenergize the program
Keyest thing is be able to embrace and adapt to the college game; scouting, transfer portal, etc.

The anti-Pittman. Literally all of those things were issues Sam struggled with.

HDN checks a lot of boxes.

Yeah, lost in all this is the fact that the ST coach was Sam's first hire and has been with him from the jump.

I wonder how that goes.

For BP to get the job HY says;

Great leadership
Not about wins/losses
See a team that is competative
Find the good team and get them on the field

bigpig

Hunter saying he doesn't expect Bobby to win out, and just wants to see us be competitive again.

That's obviously a diplomatic response. I think it's clear that Bobby has no chance of retention if we don't at least win a couple SEC games, probably three. Five wins (in total) MIGHT keep him here. Six probably means he stays. More than that and it's basically a guarantee.

BP says he can naviagte the things HY laid out but he is focused on these 9 weeks.

Yurachek said he's not expecting miracles, like going 7-0, and Petrino will not be judged on the win loss record.  Said he's not expecting Petrino to wave magic dust.

Wouldn't be fair to judge on that, but he wants to see the team respond and play hard and improvement.

He's going to murder the next male that calls him Bobby
"That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar when his parents asked him to babysit."

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

I somewhat diagree.  I think HY, like the fans, are looking for effort going foward.  The season is lost.  It just is.  And there are significant issues with what the previous coaches have done.  That is clear.  I think HY is going to evaluate BP on his ability to right the ship going foward.

and that's why petrino said he's not worrying about the hc job possibility, just the next 9 weeks.

I am so fired up.  The firings this morning.  The leadership.  The accountability.

He is going to drive these kids and go back to basic fundamentals.

The lazy shit is over at the University of Arkansas.

BMFP is back!  He's laser focused on 9 weeks.  9 weeks to get this piss hot.  My piss is hot right now.

From all of Hunter's comments, reading between the lines, it sounds like we were totally caught flat-footed with the change of the sport (NIL, etc), and we tried to put things together on they and hope Sam worked out. Now that he hasn't, we're hitting the reset button and starting with a whole new mentality for approaching the portal and player payments, etc.

BP missed being on the sideline.  Weird as he was in total control of where he sat.  Almost like he was fed up with the coaches and just wanted to be away from it all.

Player buy in will be a big part.

BP said again about the defense..."they will run to the ball"  He has said that a few times now.
