like I said in the next coach thread, no one truly proven wants to touch our program.  I've resigned myself that we will suck for 5-6 years and then repeat the process.  Based on how our fans think, the program will never be successful.

Agree. Football is different today than it was just 5 years ago. Those that are great at talent evaluation and X's and O's should do well.

It will be a gamble no matter who we get, that's true. But that's true of most coaching hires anywhere. But I'd like to take a chance on someone who hasn't reach their peak yet. But tha's just me, y'all can continue to live in the past if you want. The Petrino of 2011 is long gone.

I guess I lean on Petrino at least won big here when he had talent. If we got him better, I think he can do it again.
