I don't even care.  It was embarrassing to see our best players in the state on 24/7 with Missouri, Oklahoma St, Oklahoma and Miami by their names.

I've been around a 7A high school football team all summer and fall.  There were scouts from various places at several practices and games.  I never heard of anyone from the Razorbacks making an appearance until Petrino himself came to a home game after Pittman was fired.

Arkansas high school recruiting isn't going to save the day, but keeping the 4s and good 3s at home, and away from direct rivals, has to be better than making no effort at all.

Silverfield really isn't more qualified or whatever than Fuentes or Norvell.  I guess all us middle-pack schools (it makes me feel good to call us that right now) are in wait-and-see mode.  Hopefully that little bit of NFL experience has somehow helped Silverfield get a step ahead of the other two.

From what I'm reading, nobody is happy with their choice. Auburn isn't happy with Golesh for the same reasons some here weren't thrilled with him. Florida wasn't going to be happy with anyone else but Kiffin. Mississippi damn sure isn't happy. Kentucky may come out smelling like a rose by waiting. They may be able to pick up one of the disgruntled established coaches. It's like all the ADs took the same crazy pill.

I don't think anyone got their number one choice except for LSU and Va Tech.

It's been pretty interesting to see beat guys around the Auburn program pick apart the Golesh hire the last 24 hours. 

Lots of teeth gnashing and hand wringing about G5, records against teams .500 or below, etc.

So while we think we somehow got stuck with leftovers and lost out on our target, remember that the grass may not be greener.
