I don't even care.  It was embarrassing to see our best players in the state on 24/7 with Missouri, Oklahoma St, Oklahoma and Miami by their names. 

Just flat out unacceptable.  Get Kennedy from Central (they will, another 4 star DT) and try to flip the OL from Bauxite and it's a clean sweep.

Morris was told he's #2 option by Arkansuk and OK Lite told him to get with the program.

Golesh probably had some "productive chats" with HY but we came away all feeling like we were gonna have to compete for him and we know how we don't like competition.

Silverfield had a meh 8 win season after a couple much better years that also went mostly unnoticed. He's a completely under the radar hire and honestly using the same metrics we're using about Golesh or Sumrall I don't really see what was so appealing about the other two guys there. I'm not saying he's a slam dunk. I am saying there was literally no competition for him which kinda seems weird. It's like they kept the entire thing on the DL and that's unlike Sexton. It's as if Memphis put in a request to ship the fucker out so they could hire somebody else.

There wasn't a slam dunk to be had at least at face value. Sumrall is no more qualified than Billy Napier was when he was hired at Florida. Golesh is no better credentials than Bryan Harsin. Kentucky is looking at hiring who? An assistant?

Over the years in the SEC, schools have made some horrendous hires mixed in with a few that just worked. Hopefully we're one of the ones that somehow just worked.

Just a wild ass conspiracy theory here.  Silverfield news broke three weeks ago and went over like a fart in church.  So, they needed the perception that they were still looking and maybe even whiffed on other choices like Golesh, to make it more palatable to the fans and maybe some boosters.  So, that's why you get the Golesh leak. 

However it happened, the optics (true or not) is that other schools got their choice and Arkansas got what was left, once again. The fans know it too.

I do think Silverfield stands a better chance of working out for us than Golish or Morris would.  I also wouldn't call it a home run exciting hire.  I DO like seeing the in-state guys committing.  That at least tells me he is seriously trying to hit the ground running...
