I'll take the contrarian position to it.  At some point the NCAA needs to tell QBs they're leaving their fate in the defense's hands with these late slides.  If a runner waits until they're two yards from a guy who's already ready to hit them, and then they make their head the ONLY thing that he can make contact with, they're kind of asking for it. 

Targeting, 15 yards, sure.  Dude should have been suspended for celebrating that on the sidelines while the guy is getting loaded into an ambulance, because he was being a shitty human being.

No issue with the QB's not recieving preferential treatment when they're a willing runner. But in this case, way I see it, he 100% launched himself intending to take the guy out. I'd feel the same way if it was a WR or RB.

But worst of all was the celebration and the smiles and giggles as the guy was twitching on the field and getting loaded into an ambulance. So fuck that guy and fuck USC and fuck Lincoln Riley and his dry ass brisket.

Listening to St. Louis sports radio this morning, I think we've got a real good parallel between Drinkwitz and HDN.

Frustration because he never wins the big one. Or ever. Key quote from this morning, "every time you think this is the year to take a step up into the top level of the SEC, it doesn't happen. Not going to happen this year either."

They also recognized that he's had the benefit of a soft schedule. They don't have a soft schedule this year. They really could have a losing record.

Add on top of that, Dorkwitz. A goofy ass personality that is an acquired taste. In what really sounded like Nutt, they complained that he always seems to crow and preen when he beats someone he's supposed to beat.

Sounds like he is moving squarely onto the hot seat. And the Ole Miss job is probably not available.
