Quote from: Show-Me Hog on Sep 28, 2026, 09:40 AMListening to St. Louis sports radio this morning, I think we've got a real good parallel between Drinkwitz and HDN.

Frustration because he never wins the big one. Or ever. Key quote from this morning, "every time you think this is the year to take a step up into the top level of the SEC, it doesn't happen. Not going to happen this year either."

They also recognized that he's had the benefit of a soft schedule. They don't have a soft schedule this year. They really could have a losing record.

Add on top of that, Dorkwitz. A goofy ass personality that is an acquired taste. In what really sounded like Nutt, they complained that he always seems to crow and preen when he beats someone he's supposed to beat.

Sounds like he is moving squarely onto the hot seat. And the Ole Miss job is probably not available.

We might be the new Ole Miss

Drink has never beaten an SEC with a winning conference record. All of of his SEC wins are against teams who finished .500 or worse in league play.

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

So all we have to do is finish above .500 some year and we can finally beat him.

We are probably about 20% responsible for his survival.
Splash 11! drop ABE track, too confusing

We responsible for some coach firings as well.

If we managed to beat anyone that's basically grounds for termination.

I'd wager you could look at our last ten sec wins and probably find multiple firings that soon followed.

OK according to Claude

The Hogs haven't won an SEC game since October 2024: they went 2–10 (0–8 SEC) in 2025 and are 0-1 in SEC play so far in 2026. Here are the last ten SEC wins, newest first:  (Wikipedia)  (FBSchedules)
Oct 26, 2024 – at Mississippi State, W 58–25  (Wikipedia)
Oct 5, 2024 – No. 4 Tennessee, W 19–14  (Wikipedia)
Sep 21, 2024 – at Auburn, W 24–14  (Wikipedia)
Nov 4, 2023 – at Florida, W 39–36 (OT)  (WPTV)
Nov 19, 2022 – No. 14 Ole Miss, W 42–27  (Wikipedia)
Oct 29, 2022 – at Auburn, W 41–27 ⚠️  (Wikipedia)
Sep 10, 2022 – South Carolina, W 44–30  (Wikipedia)
Nov 26, 2021 – Missouri, W 34–17  (Wikipedia)
Nov 13, 2021 – at LSU, W 16–13 (OT) ⚠️  (Wikipedia)
Nov 6, 2021 – No. 17 Mississippi State, W 31–28  (Wikipedia)
Coaches fired soon after:
Bryan Harsin (Auburn) – the only clean one. His firing came less than 48 hours after the Tigers lost to Arkansas at home by two touchdowns. The program's move came as no surprise after the 41-27 loss.  (ESPN)  (Sports Illustrated)
Ed Orgeron (LSU) – partial credit. He'd already agreed in mid-October 2021 to leave at season's end, so he was a lame duck when Arkansas beat him in Baton Rouge, not fired because of it.
Nobody else on the list lost their job shortly after. Billy Napier (Florida) and Hugh Freeze (Auburn) were eventually let go, but more than a year after losing to Arkansas.

I can't remember how the TV slots work, but really surprised Miss St/Bama isn't a prime time game. The night games look like a snooze fest.

Would have been a good compromise, in hindsight.

The guy before Sumlin....what was his name? Sherman? Wasn't so bad...we would at least win some games against him. Nice guy.

That math doesn't sound right. Seems like it should be much higher. Jimbos buyout alone was 75 mill wasn't it?
