Tomlin wasn't fired; he left.  He was done with the shitshow provided by the Rooneys.  Lousy front office that failed for years to plan for rapustberger's retirement.  For all the lavish praise in media for the Rooneys they run a cheapskate operation; just look at their NFLPA grades.  Tomlin did wonders with terrible front office support. 

He knows he can return to coaching and dictate terms like John Harbaugh if he wishes or just play media guy. 

They let fucking Rodgers dictate the hiring of McCarthy, that's how fucked they are.
