Having watched much more soccer in the last month than I ever have, I am surprised at the percentage of goals that are scored on headers. I guess there is usually too much human down on ground level and up in the air presents the clearer paths.

The whole England-Argentina soccer rivalry is awesome. Before the game, the Argentina VP posted on Twitter about "putting the invaders in their place". After the game, the players were singing chants about Maradona and the Falklands. They held a banner that said "The Falklands are Argentine", which they are going to get fined by FIFA for doing. The Argentina coach changed his lineup, started the son of the player Beckham kicked to get a red card back in 1998. It was not a good tempered match.

I read the history of the rivalry at halftime. I had heard the term "Hand of God" in sports before, but never knew where it came from. The US coach was even involved in the 2002 match.

I work around a lot of Mexicans and even they were pulling for England. No one it seems likes Argentina. Or maybe they just don't like Messi. All I heard was, "Que se chinguen esos cabrones!"
