It is at this point I would link to an old post I made about the time (as a young child) I remember seeing on the Memphis news where a bunch of animals (African type, non bipedal) had escaped the zoo and were running all over midtown.  I remember the news cast and the reporter "on the scene", some large cats of some sort and maybe some zebras running behind them, a bunch of black folk screaming and running every which way, It was truly like a bizarro Tarzan Movie.  The reporter was talking about how everyone should take precautions and be on the lookout, then you hear gunfire ring out behind him and some animal screams.

It was the most Memphis thing I remember from my childhood.
