The fact of the matter is... we are in the era of amateur free agency.  NIL and the unlimited portal have utterly ruined college football.  Bowls are now obsolete, as is the idea of playing for a university for pride. 

I'll be honest, I kind of hate it.  What made college special is gone.  Beyond the Hogs, I haven't paid any attention to college ball at all this year... and I tuned out on the Hogs after BYU.  Until they fix the free agency problem, this will continue to be an issue.

this. it's easy for a fan to say they should play . they see it as just a game.

no matter how far fetched for some of these guys, it's a profession that will earn them a living.

The production part I understand, but the participation part needs to change. You should be able to expect them to at least play to earn their money. Kids today don't seem to mind fucking people over. I guess they learned it honestly, our society sure doesn't value honoring your word.

Alabama has a great coaching staff and the best talent in the country.  I don't get the "but they cheat!" angle.   

They are capable of doing things that no other program is able to do on the recruiting front?

If everyone is tired of seeing them, why would they receive preferential treatment from the PTB?   

I don't see them getting away with penalties in-game that every team doesn't get away with. 

I get the jealousy but I like Saban.  He wins.  15 years from now Arkansas fans will be saying the same thing about Kirby and Georgia. 

Agree. I'm sure they get breaks like all great teams but I don't think it's anything egregious.

I don't hate them at all. I've come to respect the consistency. Saban is just better. This probably isn't one of his top 10 teams at Bama but I expect them to beat Michigan tomorrow.

You won't hear me bitching. Put a better product on the field and I'll gladly up the ante. Until then my family is happy enough to buy the couple of TShirts and hoodies a year to show our support.

ESPN showing Michigan as 2 point favorites and Texas as 4 point favorites.  I think both those teams lose.

They say a lot about Texas' yards after catch stat, but Washington has beaten Captain Checkdown at Oregon twice this season.  They're used to it.  Replace Texas with Georgia and it's an SEC-SEC national championship game again.  Replace Texas with Alabama and we would just get to see Washington-Bama sooner rather than later.

Michigan is going to be shocked to play a team that is as strong as them and faster than Ohio State.  Body by Herb is going to be sucking ass by the 4th quarter.
