Deion gets a free pass on a lot of shit while other coaches have been ridden out on a rail by the media for much less. I do wonder if this was Deion's experience while he was at free shoes back in the 80s. I can't imagine Bobby Bowden running a program that loose. Those players back then probably were party of a party culture and got away with a lot of shit but I don't know that it would be described the same way we're seeing here with current day Colorado.

Deion will go down as the coach that busted off full steam into college free agency for better or worse. Creating a culture where players are expected to produce or GTFO. I believe it could work for some coaches but he is not a professional coach and hasn't provisioned a professional culture where winning games is more important than looking good in the media.

Ga Tech beat out those schools for a big ol' OL today, 3rd 4 star OL in the class.

This is not common for us.  He actually isn't that big yet but #2 OL in the country or thereabouts

Of course it is in Atlanta and the NIL seems to be coming together (I don't know anything about that).

Key is a Tech alum, played for and worked for George O'Leary for a long time, then Saban.

This guy is rated the number 2 tackle in the country but only 4th best player in the state.  He plays at a little Christian school like Michael Oher did but he is a very good student.  Georgia is a good location for this sort of thing.

My Corndog brother's wife went to Tech and they are going to Game in Dublin. They went when Tech played BC there as well.

How are their admissions standards for athletes versus regular students?  It seems like those have been a barrier to being competitive for them in the past. 

There are more than enough athletes in the Atlanta area for GT to be a solid program provided they are lenient enough to let enough players into school.

I don't know for sure, but they look lower than for just students with a quick glance on google.

With the amount of schools in around Atlanta, they can get some. Maybe not Georgia level but some good ones.

Lower than just for students is one thing.  Vandy, Duke, etc. make exceptions to their requirements for athletes.
