That makes no sense whatsoever. Targeting on a sliding quarterback has always been part of the play and results in a first down. You don't conclude the play and then give the targeting. What in the world?

FYI - Dabo rehired Chadwick as an offensive analyst this year.

No coincidence,  they can't score more than 7 against Dook.

Yeah that was odd.

I think it's because it was 4th down and he was short, which means with the slide making him down, then the hit was a dead ball foul after the change of possession. It would be akin to a targeting hit after an interception.

Did you have a stroke during this post?

Quote from: buff2.0 on Sep 04, 2023, 07:10 PMMaybe it's nerves, but this is overreaction week and Clemson is fuct with Klubnik as their QB.  That's purely based on their opening drive.

Maybe it wasn't an overreaction. 4.9 yards per completion.

Everything he touches turns to shit. He's on quite a run right now.

2019 - Arkansas HC (fired)
2020 - Auburn OC (fired)
2021 - Allen HS (fired)
2022 - USF analyst (fired)
2023 - Clemson analyst (TBD, just suffered one of their worst losses in a decade).

I wonder if he ever thinks "maybe it IS me?"
Nah he's too stupid.
The same people demanding everyone embrace your beliefs, have zero tolerance and condemn another for embracing theirs.  Oh, the irony.

Pigsmoke

Clemson will be fine, they only had 30 percent of the offense installed.

This amount of failure would make Houston Nutt blush. That being said Clemson was already sliding...I think the Gus/Chode/Tony Elliott offenses
have run their course for the most part. I assume their new OC Garrett Riley (Lincoln's bro) is supposed to be bringing in something new but from what I was seeing that offense last night looked like the same old shit they've been running. Given the portal these days there is almost no excuse not to have a QB on the roster of a P5 program that can sling it all over the field and put up good/great numbers.

Putting it lightly.

I read their boards after the CU game and they were pissed.

I didn't see Sonny Dykes' halftime interview, but have heard he was evening questioning what they were doing on offense.

Looks like Briles pissed away a good situation here. That's a far cry from Sam calling him the best OC in the country and defending him publicly whenever he got flak for his playcalling here.
