He wasn't entirely wrong, they did do a great job of developing players for the NFL.

They just also started with really good players. 

Because they paid them to be there.

And of course, I realize there is no real universe in which we're making the playoffs.

I was just going to say, IU looks exactly like we look whenever we reached over our heads just a little bit to play a better opponent in a bowl game. Under both Hatfield and Nutt. I'm thinking of the Oklahoma game with Matt Jones, the UCLA game at the Cotton Bowl. We've looked like this a number of times when we don't know what the fuck we're doing in a bowl game.

They've averaged probably 12 yards on the stretch zone run and of course they keep trying other things up the middle.

This game could be theirs for the taking. But they're off kilter just enough.
