I've never really hated Notre Dame mainly because none of the teams I follow ever really play them. When I was a kid/teen they had some bad asses like Jerome Bettis and Rocket playing for them and that was neat I guess.

I'd say certainly by the early 2000s they mostly got by on an unfounded reputation for pissing excellence and the rules seem to bow down to them when it otherwise doesn't fit like having to be in a conference or else (unless you are Notre Dame)...Ok i'm sure it doesn't exactly say that but you get the point.

For me, it's all about the way they are coddled and how their fans think they are better than everyone else.  I actually have a good friend that played for Notre Dame and he's a great guy.

A kid from my HS played WR for them. He's a good dude. I was better friends with his older brother. Fastest white kid I've ever ran with. I don't care for ND but don't have the hatred for them that I do for Texass

I think my only ND animosity was that they were always on national tv with their NBC contract, even when they sucked and all the other games weren't as accessible as they are now.

Texass would be even more obnoxious than they are now if they win it all after this being their first year in the SEC. They would act like they run the SEC like they did the SWC. Fuck them and all the horses they rode in on. I hope they get shitstomped and then wiped off the shoes of the team that shitstomped them. ND was on TV all the time, deservedly so or not. They at least earned it this year. Ohio State? Fuck them, too. Penn State? Pittbull can suck it, too. But, my hatred still runs red hot for those Texass assholes.

Refs absolutely screwed VT. 3 missed calls in 2 plays. And then got in their feels and flagged the VT coach for yelling at them. There has to be a better system than having overweight middle aged men try and keep up with 20 year old athletes AS THEIR PART TIME JOB.

The other three have nowhere nearly inflicted the level of pain that those allhats have.

We've played the other three a combined total of two times (so far) and broke even.

Damn.  Kirby Smart's dad was in New Orleans and fell the day before the Sugar Bowl.  Required surgery.  The morning of the game was when doctors told the family to expect the worst.  He passed away this morning.

Hell no.  I love Catholics.  If I was to get back into going to church I'd probably become one.  My dislike of their football program is purely because they've been getting undeserved concessions from bowls and playoffs since I've been alive.  If the power brokers had treated them like the rest of the unaffiliated teams back when the BCS was in play they would be in a conference right now like the rest of us. 

Given what's left in the playoffs, I hope ND wins the whole damn thing.
