I heard this part this morning and had one of those "Son of a bitch, this motherfucker just can't help himself" moments. 

Did anyone ever ask if he gave Bobby the same kind of loving embrace that we saw him giving T-Will?

Also, is it "T-Will" or just "TWill"?  I feel like we need to get that standardized.

Twill is a type of fabric.  T-Will makes a lot more sense.

who cares if he hugged petrino or not. i doubt it makes any difference to bmfp. the guy would probably rather be watching film asap than getting mauled by some fat sweaty dude anyway.

I'm sure he's hoping they can eke out a 7-5 or 8-4 season and win a bowl game and he can go out a winner and retire to the lake and get that hip replacement.

the hip thing had been rumored, but with pittman confirming it, that scenario could very well play out. perfect way for him to leave.

Pittman said 3 things in his postgame presser that stuck out to me.

(Category: edging close to Nutt "I called that play" and "how do you like me now" territory) -- mentioned that the press should print that he won a one-score game; and maybe all the fans saying "they're going to fire that guy" might quiet down a little now.

(Category: personal info I did not know) mentioned that he could not move quickly or well any more, compared to Texas 2021, because of his hip. As someone close to the same age who has a bad hip, but even worse I "have a knee" that might need a replacement, I empathize.

There's a clear path for Sam. Keep being a CEO coach and let Bobby & TWill do their things. I hope he takes it.

Obviously he knows that losing a dozen one score game brings criticism. This was a fantastic win and it's going to take a lot more to even it out. It has to take some thick skin to be a head football coach and one would figure at his age and being around the game he could just leave that stuff alone.

As far as playing with anybody, I agree with him. We don't have a spot that is a complete liability or failure. The two places you tend to see that the most are o line and d secondary. We are serviceable with each. If you don't turn the ball over or commit drive killing penalties, you can get into one score games with anybody. Your coaching has to figure out how to be on the right side of them.

There is video out there of Sam giving Bobby a hug after the game in the tunnel.  Looked like their wives were walking in together as well.

See that sort of stuff makes it really hard to love Pittman.  Maybe, he could have made a self deprecating "finally won a one score game" joke instead of what he did say.  Maybe, pull a Saban type response and be all business but bring up that we have been working on toughness and finally executed down the stretch to win a close game.  Whatever, it doesn't matter.  Just anything but referencing the press and showing that he has thin skin.

I will say this.  I surely had my doubts coming in to the year.  But Pittman and the staff actually did pretty well in the portal.  Jackson, Green, that guy Dix and Slaughter on defense, etc. are all contributing nicely.

I think A&M is finally legit. I don't know what happened against Miami but they're not going to stumble to a 7-5 like they always did with Jimbo. Mostly due to their monster defense. Their offense is meh but did just fine against Mizzou.

Yeah our O-line had a WAY better game. We ran at will on them when it counted most.

Hard to explain but the 4th quarter with Singleton felt like we used the shininess of our own O-line against them.

Not a bridge too far at all. It's true. We had 6 turnovers in our two losses. We have 2 turnovers, instead of 6, we're 6-0 and in the top 5 right now.
