I am really not a fan of this guy. If he isn't complaining (which he seems to do a lot), he's making an entire story out of one small piece of information (or even just whole cloth). For this one, he grabs one post off of social media, does no follow up on it, and proceeds to pontificate about nothing. Arkansas is starving for good sports journalism and many don't even realize it.

I am really not a fan of this guy. If he isn't complaining (which he seems to do a lot), he's making an entire story out of one small piece of information (or even just whole cloth). For this one, he grabs one post off of social media, does no follow up on it, and proceeds to pontificate about nothing. Arkansas is starving for good sports journalism and many don't even realize it.

What am I missing?  This article praises KJ.  It talks about what he is doing to get Arkansas to the next level.

I'm referring to Smith's work overall. While this article is a rare one that doesn't feature a litany of complaints based on nothing, it falls under the "let's do no work and just put words on paper".  He says empty worded stuff like "There's a different energy with this team", but offers no specifics or follow up. He mentions "doing what he has to" in these San Diego workouts, but doesn't offer any salient and factual information that would lead us to assume he's talked to any of the SD program staff, KJ's teammates, coaching staff, or even KJ himself. Just comes across as lazy writing for the sole purpose of filling a page.

TLDR: I'm glad KJ is getting work out here, but this was a tweet's worth of info taken and fluffed up to fill an entire article with no actual work being done on Smith's part.
