i read that's what biddy said he was told.

DrMongoose

$2 million a year? How much was DWR paying? Is it really the largest naming rights deal in college athletics as promised?

Seems small but then considering the state of the program, that's probably more than what could be expected.

or is it a Missouri troll job?

kroger pays kentucky $1.8 and while they don't disclose it, vandy is supposed to be getting $3 million so it's in the ballpark.

looks like dwr paid $800k a year.

Quote from: Guardrail on Jun 24, 2026, 03:50 PMWhatever. Hog football is dead and they're just throwing dirt on the grave. They should've named it Roller Funeral Homes Razorback Stadium. Have the Undertaker come out and rassle some midgets at halftime like a minor league baseball venue.

Roller Funeral Homes would be perfect.👌🏻

Simmons has their name on at least 5 venues. Wonder why they'd pass on Fayetteville?

$2M is nothing to them.

Bc they are trying to polish that turd enough to sell it.

DrMongoose

Ok, the Reynolds deal has been expired for 2 years so why did they say it will still be referred to as Reynolds Razorback Stadium for the 26 season?

Is that because it will take 12 months to change all the signage which should have been changed when the deal expired?

Seems like when a pro stadium changes sponsors they flip the signage really quick.

Agreed, although I'm highly skeptical that's the amount.

Maybe the credit union is planning to go heavy into the Arkansas market and wants to buy the brand awareness.  Could go either way I guess...either it works out for them and we get the money, or it doesn't, they default, and we can try again in a few years.

They won't default. They have $9B in assets. I'm sure it's just market expansion.

vegashog

the spokeswoman said they want market expansion. they're setting up checking and debit for students.

the cash will be there.

Why not disclose the amount? Is this a request on the donor or the university not wanting to disclose? I still hate HY

Learfield is shielded from FOIA.

Boarat

There's going to be another announcement for more cash funneling to men's sports soon.

I'm thinking Christina Long is full of shit.  No way it's 4-5 million

Wally Hall, who by all accounts I believed to be dead, seems to be grumpy in his take on the new name and not disclosing the amounts for a public institution.

If someone really wanted to push it I think they could get a court ruling saying otherwise.

Would take getting it in front of a judge who sees through bullshit, doesn't care for public entities using loopholes to avoid FOIA, and isn't somehow beholden to the athletic department for prime seats, parking, etc.

I bet the local banks around the state are pissed that not only is this bank getting their name on the stadium but they've got on site banking on campus and loan help for students

Yes, let's bitch about what goes in front of Razorback Stadium, not how bad the product on the field is.

Never saw anyone bitch about the name DWR being added from the media back in the day. I called it Razorback Stadium then and nothing will change.

This is just a distraction from more pressing issues we have in the Athletic Department.

what does it matter? it's free money regardless of the amount. are there going to be fans who don't go to games because of the name on a sign?

reynolds was born in texass and graduated from missouri. who gave a shit then.

edit: what hogofwar says..

Well then now I think it was a great deal for the university
