100%. I was just thinking about this the other day. I can't remember a time where I just didn't give a shit about fb going into the season. And that's including the Chad and Nutt years. Apathy is a bitch.

I'm way more enthusiastic for this season than the last three or four with Fatso.  I knew he was worthless. My expectations aren't exactly high now but there is a bit of curiosity instead of contempt and disgust.

this.

can't dump pittman's shit on this guy. i expect very few wins this season and my measurement for progress will be not having multiple games, including a couple of openers, with 10+ penalties, the db at least being in the camera shot, mind numbing turnovers by the qb and fumbles at the most critical points in the game. get that part of the program right and then you'll get the talent to actually start competing.

I am just as down on Silverfish as I ever was on Pittman.  I can't trust a good hire was made.  I'm not ready to be hurt again.

At least Silverfield has been a HC and not a career OL coach. That's a step in the right direction just on that alone.

I'm appaled that we dont have a clear and obvious QB1. This isn't the late 1900s, where you were stuck with whatever high schoolers you recruited and coached up.

We are an SEC school with a Tyson patch on our jerseys. We can't buy a solid QB from the NIL market?
