there's video on the twitters but i won't watch it again.

He's in critical condition at the hospital, so he's still living.

Nobody want to talk about how awful the Rockies are? Last night we stayed at the game only because we thought history might be made. 21-0 and the series isn't over. They are always bad but this year they should scrap the entire team and start over
Yep. I'm not trying to be a dick about it. It could have lived. It didn't. Not by my choice. -Elvis

Nobody seems to care much about baseball anymore. Surprised the Rockies are 6-33 bad, which is worse than even the White Sox.

Speaking of which, the man made of glass is back on the shelf.

My Tigers are looking like last year wasn't a fluke. Say what you want about the guy, but Hinch is a damn good coach.

They need an owner that actually tries to win.
irritatingly incompetent & infuriatingly unhelpful

That, and they probably need to move the team.  Free agent pitchers won't sign there because they don't get the same movement in the thin air.  Even the talented guys they draft underachieve, with the combination of movement and balls flying out of the park regularly.

Perish peacefully in a warm environment.

The stadium on Saturday for that game was half empty. People don't show up to Rockies games for the game they come to booze on the rooftop. It's $4 for entry to the rooftop...that's cheaper than the cheapest ticket at the red birds game.

I've always thought their strategery should be: ground ball/sinker ball pitchers, good infield defense, sluggers in OF, DH and 1B.

the air is an issue but there are not balls flying out of that stadium on the regular.

ESPN.Com ran an article last week about how pitchers hate that park bc balls that are routine fly outs leave the yard in that park.

they're not literally flying out of the stadium but you can get them up in the stands.

A lot of that is because of the lack of talent they have assembled.

Even if it's all overblown, the fact is that pitchers believe it's true.  They still don't want to play there if they have other options.

As much as I hate indoor baseball and plastic "grass", an indoor stadium might be the best way to make baseball viable in Denver.

probably.:::they use a humidor to store balls which in turn makes them heavier and larger. I sometimes wonder how the team makes any money. Tickets are nothing, you can even upgrade from the rooftop or rockpile tickets and sit in a restaurant/bar as long as you sit and order food. They spent tons this past year upgrading food and beverage inside.

I did see former ole Miss pitcher just was called up to the Rockies

Hunter Goodman went to our local HS (Arlington, TN) and can absolutely rake.  They should trade him to a team that gives a shit but they probably won't.  He's a great guy who comes back to as many HS events as he can and the kids love him.

Ray Zorback

I'm starting to think this Aaron Judge guy is pretty good.

41 games - 39 runs - 14 HRs - 40 RBI - 3 SB - .414 avg

on pace for 150 R, 55 HR, 155 RBI, 11 SB

I see Pete Rose and Shoeless Joe are HOF-eligible now.

Shame they didn't do that and vote him in while he was still alive
