Holler when you ask important questions like most blown saves.

That's not important to me.  Only the stats that look good.

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Low sample size. Too many games of Braves blowing out opponents. Meaningless.  ;D

Well shit, I guess I will pop back in the thread in some year in the future.

Heard from an engineer today who works in a national construction company. He is relocating to Nashville to build a stadium for the soon to be Nashville White Sox.

Looks like Jerry Reinsdorf is not bluffing about moving the Sox out of Chicago.

Y'all missed my point.  I am a Cardinals fan.  The question was about MY team.

Now I looked and the Cards are behind the most, can't even suck the best.

Yet another example of MLB trying to fuck over the Braves.

They'll probably add expansion teams in Charlotte and Birmingham just for spite.

Anyone else see the Astros beat the ever loving shit out of the Texas Rangers the last 3 days?

Jose Altuve had 5 home runs in 6 consecutive at bats spanning Monday night through his first 3 at bats Wednesday.

In game 3, Scherzer struck him out to start the game and Rangers fans were like "THANK GOD".  2 batters later, Yoran Alvarez hits a 2 run shot.  Rangers fans cried.

I'm worried about our pitching. I think Strider is tired, Fried is not quite right yet, Elder coming back to earth, Iglesias has given up 5 runs in last 4 appearances...

Strider was dominant in his last start against the Phils. I think he'll be fine, just needs to cut down on giving up so many homers. Fried will be his usual self come October. He's only had a few bad innings snowball on him since back. Snit is an idiot if he doesn't save Elder's starts for at home. Much better pitcher at home than on the road. Morton has been great this last month. Hopefully, Wright gets right (see what I did there?) with a few more appearances after coming back from IL.

Snorts

Just need three starters for the post season, or so the conventional wisdom goes.

This year's team is the best Braves team ever, most likely.  Better than the late 50's juggernauts.  Better than the 90's group with all that pitching.  There is a slugger coming to bat throughout the line-up.  Hell, the C position has already produced 106 RBI and 31 HR. 9 guys have 15 HR, and d'Arnaud may make 10.
4 guys have at least 30 HR and there is a sure bet to make that 5, which I think is a record.

There is a chance every position and the DH has at least 20 HR.  It is ridiculous the year the Braves are having at the plate.  They legitimately have a claim to have the best RF, !b, 3B and C in the NL.  Oh, I know that is up for argument, but a case can be made.

And yet, even though I have followed them for 66 years, I know better than to elevate expectations.  These ARE, after all, The Braves.
Death, Taxes, and the Razorbacks.

My son played coach pitch with this kid when they were 6 or 7.

Earliest call up since 1979.

Bumping this because the kid is doing some impressive things.

He now has the longest on-base streak to start a career in the last 20 years. One more game and it will be the longest in 39 years.

His OBP is currently 79 points higher than his slugging.

Acuna hit HR #40 earlier and needs 2 SB's to get to 70.

Thats very cool TRS.

And he got both steals tonight, with #70 setting up the winning run in the 10th inning to beat the Cubs 6-5.  Acuña now has 41 HR, 70 steals, and is about to pick up the NL MVP award.
