This isn't anything new.  Over Muss' 4 years here every year there is talk about a player having words with Muss during a game.  Where there is smoke and all that...

When you let a malcontent, petulant, quitter keep driving the drama you deserve to have a shitass team atmosphere. Bipolar, gay, autistic, narcoleptic, WTF-ever "disorder" people have, use it as a crutch to be an asshole or to rationalize poor behavior or expect preferential treatment because "I have issues". Guess what, everybody has issues.
That's a you issue.
If you can't manage to follow directions, run a designed set play, quit making bonehead erors, stay awake, show up on time, use Excel, etc,. then I need to find somebody who can. If it hurts your feelings and you get mad and stomp out because you throw tantrums because "I'm mad, you're mean for making me do something required by my job and you told me to do it," then by god you need to move on.
I let you back to work with the rest of the team after doing that not once, but twice? I'm not getting respect from anybody.

Even in pro sports coaches are usually referred to as "coach". If they ever coached you they are coach and that is the way it is now until the end of time.

There are coaches I had 30 years ago if I were to see them today they would still be Coach XYZ to me. If I hated their guts they would still be Coach Assface or something. But you give them that respect.

No player would've ever cussed Nolan Richardson coming off the court. 

Muss is all bark no bite.  He's a pussy.  Everything in the world comes down to one word to get people to perform for you.  That word is respect.  Muss has none with this team.  And that won't buff out.

Nolan was all bark and bite.  And nobody had more criminals playing for him than Nolan.  He kept them in line and straightened their shit out in life even.

The recipe for success and failure never changes.  Muss has landed himself on the failure side for all the same reasons chad morris, pelphrey and every loser ever coaching has.  The players don't have to listen to him and they know it.

And it's not just coaching.  It's every profession or undertaking in life.

As a leader you have to hold yourself apart.  You cannot be too close to the players and you can't play favorites.  Guys like Saban and others manage to walk that line between being caring without being too familiar. 

Familiarity breeds contempt.

Hopefully this season is just an anomaly. They obviously went after the wrong players in the portal. Guys from losing programs like Ellis and Battle (a guy who quit Temple in the middle of the season). Offense first players with zero toughness or desire to play defense. I  doubt we see any of the current roster back next season aside from maybe Blocker and Mark.
