Unless my timing is off, the old board did not exist when the possibility of Menifield becoming an Hog first came into existence.

I believe Muss said he saw the kid play the the tv and was impressed. I'm sure he left out the part where we tampered leading to the kid going portal..but maybe not. What with our integrity and all. Anyway our people got in touch with his people and he took the spot without even visiting. I recall people suggesting the kid could help the team win. I'm not sure of the chronology of all this stuff but I feel like most of us just had this thought that Muss would go get some veteran guys after baby sitting all season last year. We expected him to go get productive guards that would start and play big minutes. Menifield fit that category where he could have potentially played his way into a big role or could have been more of a role player and have a bigger role in the next season. HTL might have predicted this accurately but if he had it would have to be on this board or elsewhere on the ebays.

With the number of guards we have and how Ellis looked early on you're probably right. No one expected Ellis to play this poorly. Between Ellis (prinary PG), Mark, Devo, Blocker, and Battle I expected us to get enough out of them that we could get through the year without Menifield.

I also stated that Menifield was the most intriguing addition we got. He has the highest upside. My comment wasn't a knock on KM but higher expectations for the others.

I think Menifield is gonna be a really good player but we have a lot of depth at his position. I don't believe Chris Johnson ever recommitted anywhere. He would be a really good replacement. We were in his final list.
