Devo didn't get a G League in ite either. Quite surprising.

Really does surprise me, he's an elite defender.

He needs to come back and live in the gym shooting 3s.

Devo is an elite college defender. 

Professional players are bigger and all have "Devo" quickness. 

He isn't a shot creator, doesn't shoot well, doesn't move well without the ball, isn't a rebounder and is thin/small.   Edit: he also is good for a few WTF turnovers during a game. 

It isn't surprising to me that he wasn't invited.

If Mason Jones can't sniff the NBA after balling out in the G-league all season I just don't know what to say. To my eyes I'll take Jones over some of these guys being talked about as high draft selections. I realize potential potential potential. Yeah I'll take Jones

Davis is about Pbev's size...maybe a bit taller. I think he's listed at 6-4/195 area...he's not tiny though if he's an off-guard he would be consistently going against guys that are much larger. I don't think he's got draft value because he really hasn't mastered much of his game as an older dude and probably just isn't good enough even for the G-league and may never be. Other than the "5th grade defense" what does he really do well? He's got that dog in him? Good rebounder at the guard position in college? That actually helped Patrick Beverly a bunch when he broke into the league.

Yes Devo has improved a great deal and another year of college ball could help him but it's not likely to make much difference in terms of the NBA draft. Consistency is the only thing that's going to help him moving forward and he's probably not suddenly going to become a NBA quality ball handler, shot creator/maker, and like others have said defensively is he really that much better than many other guys that can do those other things? Probably not.

He could still get into summer league camp and end up impressing enough to get a invite to either a G-league camp or NBA camp for preseason. Again if he's going to be a utilitarian type guy that "does the little things" he's got to at least not fuck up 4 or 5 times a game to wash all of that out. Very unlikely he's getting drafted though...I'm thinking he's got to go overseas and make a good living showing flashes.

He was playing well at the end of the year.  But the first 3/4 of the season was surely a disappointment.  Sure has a lot of potential.

I really think that I am most interested in watching him develop as a pro.  He was a baby giraffe on arrival.  He is gonna grow into himself and be really good.

I figured he was probably gone especially after the way he tested yesterday but the Athletic's mock draft after the draft lottery last night has him going 48th. I still think he's gone but he'd probably be better off returning if that's accurate.

Different sport yes, but if the latest example of Anthony Richardson has taught us anything, owners will drool over freakish athletic ability.

Walsh still likely to get drafted in the 2nd at worst.

I kinda figure Walsh will be a late first, go to a playoff team and spend a few years being a two-way to the G-league on an otherwise good roster. It's a good thing now days because a lot of load management going around so rookies and 2nd year players tend to get minutes during the season.

I'm not really hearing shit about NSJ's stock rising or falling. People seem to be gushing about Anthony Black.
