I don't believe so because he is still listed as eligible to return. Him & Devo both. Walsh has been all over draft slots in the mock drafts and not at all in some too. Devo won't get drafted but I don't know that he has much room to improve his stock by coming back. He's probably destined to be a G League journeyman or European league guy. Muss probably wants him back for the experience and leadership, but I figure he would be upfront with him about his pro prospects at this point.

Anyway...either Walsh or Devo have to go to make room for Holland. Unless they both really want back in...then I reckon Pinion is the odd man out.

But what that means is Muss has to do an even bigger rebuild next year. Holland is a Top 5 guy for 2024. We would probably only have Blocker, Fall, and Menifield coming back. Assuming Blocker and/or Fall don't have amazing freshman campaigns.

EDIT: Meant to say Mark is testing the waters this year. He technically has 2 years. But most don't come back for the year after they test.

That's a lot to balance for the last 1-2 roster spots (currently 11 scheduled to be on scholarship without counting the players testing waters). Holland (if he is, as some reports state, in play for us) could throw a wrench into Walsh's/Devo's plans if they both consider coming back after the signing window closes. However, there may not even be a spot for him if two highly regarded transfers come in first. Maybe Muss pulls the trigger on one transfer if he fits his needs/goals for the team, but if a second expresses interest? If he does in fact take a second from the portal, you have to think everything is locked in at that point. Lot of moving pieces that would make me lose what little hair I have left. Not sure how Muss hasn't had multiple coronaries by now.

I like Ford. I don't like the traditional Razorback narrative of an in-state player having the one game of his life every year against Arkansas.
