I feel bad for the guy. He ran the data he had from the UA and framed his post (and tweets) based on that.

Then it turns out the data was fucked up and thus undermines his entire findings. Apparently they did it for the Western Carolina game, too.

Dumbasses in our program can't even record stats right.

That would make a fella a bit upset having to scrape that egg off his face. Other than the negative losses in the running game...we didn't do so bad though. :stache:

Rick Shaeffer or Karine Jean-Pierre must be the official stat keeper.

Yards Lost and Yards Gained is old and MAGA.

Yards We Planned on Making is the new BBB metric.

I love this:

QuoteArkansas has gotten a first down inside the opponent 40 on 10 drives this season. All 10 have ended in touchdowns. That's quite a break from what we saw last year.

And this:

QuoteArkansas also has zero turnovers and is averaging 47 net yards per punt. Opponents have only started two drives this year past their own 35, which is amazing.

People can say "iT wAs A g5 aNd mAc TeAm" all they want, but turnovers committed and punting efficiency are stats that are largely irrespective of level/quality of opponent.

"Not counting the final, run-out-the-clock drive against Kent State, Arkansas has gotten a first down inside the opponent 40 on 10 drives this season. All 10 have ended in touchdowns."

That's encouraging. We won't really be tested on offense until we go to Red Stick at night. That said, the last time Dan Enos coached our offense vs LSU in a night game we steamrolled them.

"Despite trailing 7-3, the Golden Flashes began the second quarter with possession and a 58% chance to win."

Well see, in reality, they had about a 5% chance to win. No knowledgeable bettor or linemaker in the country would have favored Kent at that point.

I am volunteering tutoring for the GED.  Those negative numbers mess people up!

Tounovers committed is directionally proportional to quality of opponent.

Gotta love government bailout yardage.

Short BYU preview. Not much to it but he says the full previews will begin next week.

The Lord wants you to put your foot on their balls and believe in it. 'Cuz that's what wins football games. Not jumping offsides like a bunch of wimps and faggots. I don't care what those pinkos over in Russia say. You want to be a loser? You go live in Russia. I'm a winner. I'm an American.

BYU postmortem from Fayette Villains just dropped. Fair warning - it isn't pretty.

Cliff's notes:
- there are a ton of parallels to our 2015 start, and this game had a lot of similarities to Toledo
- OL is bad, we can't throw down the field because of it, and if it doesn't turn around the season is going to be a disaster
- we probably should've paid Briles
- Enos has largely been mediocre to bad in his stints as OC
- it might be time to move on from Pittman

Interesting take on Odom's UNLV....

Innovative modernized Gus offense

You could maybe sell Odom to the yokels in Arkansas but it would probably need a couple seasons of decent UNLV wins to wash off his last year here.

It's also possible dude is implying when Gus comes to save us the OC could be this dude at UNLV.

It won't get this bad but I guess it's possible they could pull the plug on Enos' play calling and give over to someone like Kenny Guiton and reintroduce some Briles stuff the remainder of the season. That only happens if the house is on fire.

This Enos offense is probably better with Jacoby under center right now...but I'm parsing

why anyone would think malzahn would coach at arkansas is puzzling.  he has literally shit on the program the last two times he was 'considered'. pretty obvious to me he hates the arkansas razorbacks.

if the good old money fellas get a say again, it will be a winner and a fighter before gus.

It's such an Arkansas thing that, of all the "Arkansas coaches that got away" (Bear, Johnson, Tubberville, Butch Davis, Gus Malzahn) it's Gus that the good old boys seem fixated on rectifying. Gus, who is the least successful of the list.
