A "flex" player who plays in the field but doesn't bat? You learn something new every day.

Instead of a DH, softball has a DP who can bat in the place of the defensive player who is listed as the flex.

Every starter gets one re-entry but bench players do not. Catchers and pitchers ( if hitting) can have courtesy runners who must be an eligible sub and are tied to the position they run for.

1.  I could go awhile without hearing Jordy Frahm's name.  It is like hearing "Buddy Heil" a few years ago.

2.  Canaan Sandy could retire from getting on TV and I'd be ok with it.

Home plate did not have a good angle but that is also tough as fast as the ball moves.
