And what a BOMB by Courtney Day in the top of the 7th.

Good insurance.

Thin Red Swine

Piling it on now. 6-0 and bases loaded with one out.

"That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar the first time his parents asked him to babysit."

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

But we'll also take a 2-run double to the wall!

Got her out at home.

Boom nope she's safe. Make that a 3-RBI shot.

She was definitely safe. I flipped back to the basketball game when I thought she was holding her at third.

Big series in Gainesvegas this weekend and Bri just jumped started the effort.

Dang, you could tell that one was gone just from the sound.  I'd let her to things to me with that bat if she asked nicely.  Or if she demanded.

Ball game.  4-1 Hogs.  Seven of the last eight against Florida we've won.  Nice going ladies!

They are playing as good as anyone the last few weeks.

Bunt by us, umpire calls dead ball, batter out because it hit the batter out of the box.  We challenge, it didn't hit the batter.  Crew tries to place the runner at first.  Problem is continuing action, the runner was thrown out.  Florida protests, and the umpires and Birmingham are reviewing and checking the rule book in the middle of the game.  Geez.

Yikes, seems like the batter gets first and any runner thus forced gets the next base.

That is one call you best be damn sure it hit her. You would think with replay let it play out then allow replay to make the out call - much easier to fix.

If a dead ball is called there cannot be continuing action.

I am amazed at the f ups at the college level but then having worked with many college umps I am reminded it is who you know. They want umps who look good on tv and figure they can teach them the rest - sad but true.

Since it was called a dead ball, send the batter back, both runners, and just replay the pitch.  Like it never happened.

That was awful.  I don't blame him for getting tossed.

That is crazy. It was ball in play otherwise it is a foul ball. Seems like you would have to treat it like a hit by pitch.

I hope Courtney protests  the game. That is a horrible ruling. You can't make it a no pitch.

She also need to blackball that home plate ump who made the call.

Gator girl just stood in front of a fastball that was a fraction inside.

Unless they don't have the same rule as baseball, they have to call her back.

And it ended up costing us the game. Walk off grand slam.

But getting screwed in Gainesville is certainly nothing new.

was she hit by the pitch? if it was in the zone then it's a dead ball strike.

sounds like the home plate umpire either 1) had a really, really bad day (it happens) or 2) was unfairly put in a position that the ump was clearly not ready for (which happens more often than not).

She made zero effort to move and was right on top of the plate.

Gambler

We had bases loaded with no outs and didn't score. That's what hurt us.
