Would it be BMFP, or would it be "grandkids and a gay son" Bobby Petrino?  One excites me, the other makes me worry that the head coach may have too much influence in play calls, ala Jimbo.

HawgBeat has looked into the issue and discovered the source of confusion to be UA Systemwide Policy 405.6, which has to do with the termination of employment. It states that "an employee who has been dismissed for cause...shall not be eligible for re-employment within any University of Arkansas System's campuses, units or divisions."

However, the UA Board of Trustees did not enact that policy until May 23, 2013, more than 13 months after Long fired Petrino.

That is a key fact because on Aug. 25, 2017, a procedure was added to UASP 405.6 that specified the "policy is not intended to modify any eligibility determination made...prior to the adoption of the policy."

In layman's terms, the policy does not apply to Petrino because he was fired before it was adopted."

It all depends on whether Sam would stay out of the way or if he'd meddle like Jimbo.

Bobby's offense at A&M didn't look quite the same as what he ran here...fewer wheel routes, crossing patterns, etc.  Maybe that was by his design, but it's conceivable that two offensive geniuses wearing headsets was one too many, and that the wrong one had veto power.

Bobby's offense at Missouri State looked like what I remember from here.  I recall them going for it on 4th and 1,  and saying to my dad "Bobby's going to run Cowboy go-get-it" and he did.  I believe for about a 40 yard TD.

Bobby's offense at Missouri State looked like what I remember from here.  I recall them getting a fumble recovery and saying to my dad "Bobby's going to run Cowboy go-get-it" and he did.  I believe for about a 70 yard TD.

that's where i'm at. on the one hand it could be bs and let "sam tried" be the narrative after announcing someone else.

or, it could be the powers that be realizing that they really need to generate some excitement - one way or another - with the fanbase.
