Someone told me Long came into Fayetteville, knocked on a guys door and made him an offer he couldn't refuse for his house. He should be forced to give that house to BMFP now.

I don't see how this can be a bad thing for Razorback Football AND I'll bet that Coach Pittman welcomes his new OC.

This is a good move. I see no downside.

If anybody remembers Bill Pusch (RIP), let me know. We were buddies at Camp Robinson. I'll never forget him. Great Soldier.

Blanton's for me.

Was going to wait until it was officially official, but if BMFP is posting the grand baby calling the Hogs that's close enough for me.

oh lord here come the feminists out to screw up our hire. They can all fuck off.
Yep. I'm not trying to be a dick about it. It could have lived. It didn't. Not by my choice. -Elvis

Which was my point. KJ isn't the sharpest tack either, but I bet he'd look much improved with a year under BMFP.

Jeebus...we sure love drama over winning. The question is which Petrino do we get. The kinder and gentler one of late or does the softness and lack of accountability trigger Terminator BMFP mode? I can genuinely see a scenario where Petrino smashes that damn jukebox with Larry, slaps the colbeer and chicken leg out of Fatboy's greasy mits, grabs him by the collar and says "LOOK AT ME, I'M THE FUCKING CAPTAIN NOW, FAT ASS!".

I hope they use some of this NIL for a QB that can consistently make plays with his arm, some speed at WR and some olinemen who aren't constantly pissing themselves.

This will be one helluva redemption arc or one helluva meltdown. Sounds perfect for Netflix.

If there was a loophole, why didn't we hire him 2 coaches ago?

I'm with you and agree.

I challenged her about it, to clarify that there needs to be a victim who actually brings the action and that hadn't happened. And that it was 12 years ago, which I have to think would be well past any statute of limitations.

She just said I didn't understand and clammed up.

Casey Dick looked like he'd be lucky to start at Pulaski Academy until Bobby got a hold of him.

Not worried about QBs, but we still have an OL issue to fix.

I think Petrino could make Briswell look pretty damn good.

I have to say, I didn't think there was ANYTHING that would make me give the Pittman experiment more time.

No OC move that would change it, certainly.

I can actually get behind giving Pittman another year ONLY because of the return of BMFP.  I think, most importantly, a lot of people about to dump their season tickets won't in fact do so.

well this has been tossed around among the message boards since the game against Bobby while he was at Missouri State. I know I never took the talk seriously but it's seems as though this is happening even though I was told that it was unpossible. Even though I believe I've said many times if you want to win bad enough you can make anything happen.

No doubt this was meant to whore for money more so to appease fans. No doubt many donors have told the UA/RF to fuck off until you bring something that merits their attention. Under the circumstances the only way anyone worth a fuck was coming to Ark is if they were previously somehow damaged goods/desperate/disgraced or some young hungry guy with a innovative system looking to prove himself. Well we know which way this is headed. Consider attention has now been given...

I'm really nostalgic for the Sins Of thread. I wish my memory was more like it used to be.

This is why I'm cautiously optimistic.

I love the shit out of BMFP, especially after the depths we've sunk to, but this is a legit question as to what type of coach he is now.

He's 62 and a grandfather now, and he's been through some shit and been humbled, fired, and relegated to a coordinator role at a school and state he used to own.

I sure as hell hope he still has it. I guess the good thing is that if it doesn't work out, Pittman will be gone this time next year anyway and people can finally shut the fuck up about Petrino.

Maybe he will come back with a desire to make things right.

I'll take a national championship.  That'll do it.

I told my family on our perpetual family text that I don't believe he will be as good as he was 12 years ago-- at least his offenses won't be as successful.  But I watched a good bit of the A&M - LSU game the other day and there were plenty of times A&M had WRs that were wide open 15-20 yards downfield.  Bet we don't throw a lot of two yard passes on 3rd and 10 any more.
Apparently retarded member of the "fucking old people" crowd as defined by Swahili Steve.

I skipped this aTm game at Jerryworld for the first time.

I will go next year, even if we still struggle.  BMFP gave us some GREAT games against the Aggies there.

Wait, wut? I've been at work all day and just now seeing this. Is this actually happening?
