Too Big Pig

My hope is 59. That puts my youngest through up to 5 years of college and gives me full retirement plus 7 years in the T-drop deferred plan.

My second plan depending on how things go is 52 and see if full retirement plus a new career path for a decade can make up the income.

Anyone hiring?

that's awesome.

i've been retired for almost 7 years now. never thought about doing anything such as that, but then again i'm an enthusiastic consumer of cannabis products so it probably wouldn't have worked out too well for anyone.

Damn, the cabal is on FSU like the biden administration om a political opponent.

FSU probably deserves it though, you don't become "Free Shoes University" for nothing.
Splash 11! drop ABE track, too confusing

After nearly 45 years of working 70-80 hr/week and living in a state of chronic sleep deprivation, I retired a few months shy of my 68th birthday.

The last year and a half have been glorious. I feel like a kid during summer break.

2 years or 810 days.  We will be 47.

I like the helping people pass the GED suggestion.

I have no idea if this legit, but it makes sense. And Reggie Bush should know.

How much control can Saban have when the 5 star recruit has always been in control of who he can play for?

Before NIL, let's say Jequethius the 5 star is being recruited by both Washington and Bama.  He chooses Bama because they are a top program with a top coach and they put players in the league.

Post NIL,  let's say Jequethius the 5 star is being recruited by both Washington and Bama.  He chooses Washington, not because they have a great program, coach or NFL development but rather because Washington offers to pay him $100k more than Bama.

First, how is that leveling the playing field?  Second, how is that a negative towards Saban?

Bush's Retarded take is retarded.

The problem with your analysis is it cuts out all the other schools.  Suddenly it isn't just one or two schools.  Not only can Jequitheus get his money from one of ten different spots, he can pretty much assure himself playing time.  Nick has a lot more schools to compete against in recruiting, and he has to re-recruit almost every damned player EVERY YEAR.

I think there is a lot of truth to it. And it's not just NIL...it's the no sit-out transfer year that came with it. Who would want to deal w/ all that when you've had it *relatively* so easy for all these years.

And you can bet your ass Nick is going be sitting high in an ESPN chair at some desk for years to come acting all sanctimonious about it now. He's the best to ever do it...I'll give him that. But fuck that guy.

I don't disagree with any of that.  But to some how make Saban out to be some type of historical asshole because he now can't control 5 star players is a stupid fucking take.

Who said anything about historical asshole?

I mean, he is that, but that wasn't in the comments.

And it's right that the playing field will be more level. It's not going to be true parity, but the top echelon will be more crowded.

I took from Reggies comment that Saban was run off because he now can't control players.  It came across to me as a negative shot at Saban.  Like he was an asshole.

Fact is he begged and pleaded just like every other coach.  Players have always had the power.  They apparently were just too stupid to know it.

NIL hasn't leveled anything.

Sus-Scrofa

Saban can't keep 5 stars three deep anymore, that's the big difference.

Why pay your dues for two years waiting for your real shot when you can get paid and play right now?

Reggie didn't say anything about Nick getting run off.  Don't know where that comes from. I agree he begged and pleaded just like every other coach.

But more and more he could see those players saying "no, I will take the money from someone else" and realized long run he couldn't maintain his dominance.

At least that is the way I interpret the comments.

Reggie Bush, "NIL ran him away, he has not more control over 5 star recruits the playing field is level and he can't handle that ;D "

So it says he doesn't like the system.  It certainly wasn't a person that "ran him off."   One of these things is not like the other.
