Lost another heartbreaker yesterday, this time in Austin. So close. 90-56.

Outrebounded by (only) 19. Texas had 30 more shots, 30 more points in the paint, 14 more assists and 13 fewer turnovers. Otherwise, we held our own.

In positive news, Maryland had a big win at Iowa to remain undefeated. Legs had another solid game (8 points, 6 rebounds) and continues to start and play high minutes.

I don't know what analytics ESPN uses for their matchup predictions, but they have us losing every single SEC game and it really isn't even close. I think the best % we had was in the 30s, and the rest were below 20% even against the bottom half of the league.

I'd need to see the proof.

I know Wilt used to score a high percentage but otherwise it's hard to imagine 60% happening very much.

EDIT: I looked it up. He scored 29 of the first 35 points 😯 and 35 out of 65 total.

Shameka Christon had 40 in a 81-79 SEC tournament semi loss vs Vanderbilt, she had 28 in the 2nd half before fouling out on a horrible charge call.

Not sure I have ever seen anyone just dominate like she did that game.

Arkansas used a 23-9 run to rally from a 22-point deficit with Christon leading the way. She scored 11 of those in a span of 2:22, and Kiesha Beard hit two free throws with 22.1 left to make it 79-78.
