Oklahoma got annihilated by UNC yesterday. 

After all that talk from the media about how great Witherspoon is, he got lit up by UNC's lineup. It was 6-0 in the 1st inning.

IMO, Vandy is one you can cross off as any sort of contender. They lose the opening round game if Wright State's coach doesn't hand them the game, and then they don't piss a drop against Louisville. They remind me too much of our team the last 2 years in being over-reliant on pitching and defense to compensate for their weakness at the plate. You can only go so far if you can't hit.

I think Ole Miss is cooked as well. They threw everybody in their opening game loss, and then were in a tight game yesterday where they had to use more bullpen arms. I think they get bounced by Georgia Tech in the elimination game.

I'm liking the way this is playing out.  If we can get past Tennessee next week we'll face LSU in the first game of the World Series.  Root showed last night he doesn't choke in big games like Hagen did two years in a row.
